We’re Here For You
Meals on Wheels offers service to any adult who is not able to prepare or procure meals for themselves. If you are a senior, recovering from surgery/illness or living with a disability, you can use our service. Age is not a factor, and you can participate in the program for as long as you need to. You do not need to be referred by a doctor – enroll in the program yourself, or ask a friend or family member to call on your behalf.
No Age or Referral Requirements
You do not need to be a specific age but the program is for adults. A doctor’s referral is not required.
Minimum Order
The program requires clients to take a minimum of two meals per week and commit to 10 hot meals before making a decision to quit the program. To apply for the meal program, simply call the Meals on Wheels office at (204) 956-7711 or use the application on this website. We will be pleased to get you started on a healthy, nutritious meal program within two or three business days.
Establishing an Account
Meals on Wheels of Winnipeg requires the following in order to establish service:
- A non-refundable deposit of $25
- A commitment to purchase 10 hot meals
- Advance non-refundable payment of the first 10 hot meals. Advance payment of 10 hot meals will be waived if the client enrols in the pre-authorized payment plan.
